About MeshLab

MeshLab 2020.12 is an open source, portable system for the editing and processing of unstructured 3D triangular meshes. MeshLab is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small unstructured models arising in 3D scanning, providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes. This project is actively supported by the 3D-CoForm project. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system/platform without restrictions. MeshLab is available to all software users as a free download for Windows.

Is MeshLab safe to download?

We tested the file MeshLab2020.12-windows.exe with 24 antivirus programs and it turned out 100% clean. It's good practice to test any downloads from the Internet with trustworthy antivirus software.

Does MeshLab work on my version of Windows?

Older versions of Windows often have trouble running modern software and thus MeshLab may run into errors if you're running something like Windows XP. Conversely, much older software that hasn't been updated in years may run into errors while running on newer operating systems like Windows 10. You can always try running older programs in compatibility mode.

Officially supported operating systems include 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.

What versions of MeshLab are available?

The current version of MeshLab is 2020.12 and is the latest version since we last checked. This is the full offline installer setup file for PC. This site has hosted other versions of it in the past such as 2020.09, 2020.07, 2020.06, 2020.05 and 2020.04. At the moment, only the latest version is available.

New version 2020.12 is out!!

MeshLab 2020.12 has been released. With this version, we dismiss meshlabserver in favour of PyMeshLab, our new Python library for mesh batch processing using MeshLab filters.
We release also a new version that stores data with double precision. For further details, you can read the discussion in our GitHub page.

Changelog:
Due to the deprecation of QtScript and all the issues related to it, we are dropping from MeshLab the support to XML plugins, and therefore all the XML plugins have been transformed to classic plugins in this MeshLab version. The involved plugins are:

• Screened Poisson;
• Measure;
• Voronoi;
• Mutualinfo;
• Sketchfab;

Meshlab Tutorial

Due to this porting, all old .mlx MeshLab scripts that involve one of these plugins may not work on MeshLab and MeshLabServer 2020.06. Starting from MeshLab 2020.07, XML plugins won't compile anymore and they cannot be loaded anymore.

Note for Windows version: before installing MeshLab 2020.03, please uninstall manually any old MeshLab version. This is a known bug of the installer and will be fixed as soon as possible in future versions.
